Dipl. Ing. Gustav Bukowiecki founded Wegscheider Farben GmbH & CO KG in Linz, Austria in 1945. Following university graduation, his son, Hans, then joined him at the company. During the subsequent years, the enterprise developed into one of Austria’s best known privately owned paint and adhesive manufacturers. Products for the farming industry also represented a Wegscheider Farben business area of long-standing.

Intensive research and development work resulted in numerous patents and national awards, as exemplified by the Austrian Quality Seal, the Austrian State Coat-of-Arms and the Austrian Environmental Prize.

In 1990, Dr. Hans Bukowiecki handed over the executive management of the company to his sons, Mag. Wolfgang and Mag. Hans.

As a result of the know-how gathered over the years, joint ventures were founded in several countries. In the period between 1990 and 2000, production centres were established in the Ukraine, Poland and China.

Subsequently, the company increasingly switched the focus of its attention to the agricultural area and now the product range for the farming industry includes additives for feed, animal husbandry and crops. These products are marketed worldwide under the brand name, WEFASAN®.

Wegscheider has already received awards such as the Austrian Quality Seal, the Austrian State Coat-of-Arms and the Austrian Environmental Prize.

For over 50 years, the company has applied the most stringent benchmarks to both its research and development work and production.
